what you support with flowers:

Although Iris Guanacaste is involved in many facets of human trafficking relief and prevention, the funds donated from your floral purchases go directly to microloans, which is something very close to my heart. The most substantial obstacle women attempting to leave prostitution face is financial. Selling their bodies provides for their families, if they stop, they starve. Many of these woman have ambitions of starting small businesses of their own, but they simply have no extra money to make it happen. That is where the microloans come in! These small loans provide living expenses and the capital these woman need to start a business, live independently, and provide for their families. You can be confident that you're contribution is not simply a temporary hand-out, but a life-changing stepping stone.

This girl

Whitney Melendres. The best word to describe her is unstoppable. Her dad had a dream about helping people and she has worked tirelessly to make it happen. I have watched her face challenges that would have led many to give up. But not Whitney. She has overcome obstacles, educated herself, and moved forward with intense passion; all in the name of helping the helpless. Because of her tenacity and ability to truly make a difference in the lives of so many, I have confidence that every penny donated will do some serious good.

Her Vision

To bring freedom and holistic restoration to those who are vulnerable or are currently being abused, exploited and/or trafficked.

The Mission Statement

Every person deserves to be free, to be loved and to be all that God has created them to be. Our passion is to bring freedom, healing and holistic restoration through the transforming power of God’s love to those who are vulnerable to abuse, exploitation and trafficking. We will empower them to step into a healthy, vibrant, hope-filled life by inviting them into healthy communities and loving families, who will assist in the development of their spiritual, physical and emotional needs, and by equipping them with skills and education, therefore giving them the opportunity to be all that God has created them to be.
